MUKAMAI Tamil School – School Charter
MUKAMAI Tamil school is a non-profit, non-religious independent organization established in 2021 to promote Tamil language, literature, and culture. MUKAMAI was formed to instill the values of the Great Tamil culture and teach the Classical Tamil language through various art forms like dance, drama, and songs. Mukamai Tamil school is run by volunteers who share a deep love for the Great Tamil Language and who are keen to spread its roots to the younger and future Australian generations.
Mukamai Tamil school is supported by the community, Department of Local Government, and office of Multicultural Interests.
Mission
MUKAMI Tamil school was founded to create an interesting educational platform to teach the Classical Tamil language through various art forms like dance, drama, and songs for the children living in Western Australia. The student will learn to read, write and converse the language through fun activities includes dance, drama, and songs. With the help of the language, they will understand the Tamil culture better and Tamil arts includes dance, drama, and songs.
Vision of MUKAMAI Tamil School
The desire of taking the Tamil language to our next generations of the children living in Western Australia and create an opportunity for the children living in Australia to continue practicing Tamil language and perform Tamil culture of dance, drama, and songs in their lives to integrate, share and contribute our classical cultural heritage with the wider WA community.
Objectives

- Full time volunteer teachers are key part of school for the success and long-term sustainability of Mukamai Tamil school.
