MuKaMai Tamil school celebrated ‘Cultural day’ on 23rd June 2024, showcasing a variety of activities such as speech in Tamil language on various topics, cultural dance, and a fancy dress show performed by our students. This was held in the open Assembly area in Willetton Senior High School, with the participation of our students, teachers, volunteers, parents and members of the canning community.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr Amir, a Tamil scholar who gave a speech on the importance of fostering the community culture and language. Delicious food and snacks were provided to all attendees. The event has helped to create an awareness about our school’s activities to the local community and earned appreciation and recognition for the arts and culture presented by the students. We thank the City of Canning for supporting the event.
